- Reduces fatigue from holding the standard and unnecessarily heavy cumbersome hose for our craft.
- Improves maneuverability so it’s easier to place inside a cabinet and use.
- Increases longevity with it’s stainless steel valve.
- Reduces likelihood of stopping in the middle of blasting your project to replace the valve.
- Note: this is for use with pressure pot sandblasters only.
Whether you’re surface etching or deep sandcarving a project, the biggest changes many people desire is to replace their abrasive hose with a smaller, more maneuverable one. This kit solves the problem of dealing with heavy hoses that don’t bend far. It includes a conversion adapter which connects straight up to most pressure pot blasters with a 1/2″ barbed fitting. The adapter scales it down to 1/4″ ID which is made out of a strong, resilient, long lasting and abrasive resistant hose technology not found in local stores.
Includes:
- Nozzle with ceramic tip and removable nozzle holder for easy replacement.
- Stainless steel on/off valve replaces quick wearing brass valve.
- 9 foot long hose (rated with a working pressure of 67 PSI @ 70°F and a burst pressure of 201 PSI @ 70°F).
- Conversion adapter with fittings & hose clamps.
- Long-lasting connections which touch the flow of abrasive are made of steel to prevent wear.
- Rust resistant metal parts, mostly stainless steel, galvanized steel or brass.

I spent the money and bought a BORON (?) nozzle, 3rd strongest material on earth, had to make slight adjustments..but all good, should last me my life time.
I was purchasing ceramic by the 10’s (packages)
I bought and created the pot up the butt tube, has helped greatly, and also added an orbus form car full seat heater and vibe-rater, removed the end and added transformer, re 12v to 110 v.. We are very humid up here in CANADER (lol)…so sometimes I even add 1 of wifes nylons with a few oz of rice, absorbs moisture, easy to add and remove and cheap.
Harry, I agree supplementing these ceramic nozzles with a long lasting one is a must when doing many projects & long term blasting. We may add that as an option in the future but will increase the price $20-100+. They are very expensive but well worth the additional investment.
I actually use this system and replaced the ceramic with an ROC nozzle but with my foot pedal design https://www.glassetchingsecrets.com/shop/vari-blast-footswitch-plans.html . Works great for a low cost solution!
Is this supposed to be used with a pressure pot, or can it be used in a siphon blasting cabinet?
John,
It is for pressure pot’s only. I will update the listing to state this more prominently. Thank you for the question
what do I look for when buying nozzels for this set up?
@Rachelle, great question. It uses the common 7/16″ diameter tapered to 5/16″ diameter and 1-5/16″ long. We offer different grades of these from lowest to highest: ceramic, tungsten carbide, boron carbide and ROCTEC composite carbide.
How would I attach it into my cabinet (yes I am setting up the pressure pot.
Rachelle, since most cabinets come with a siphon sandblaster with a hose fitting on the side, I just remove that and slide this hose though that hole. You can also drill a small hole and use a grommet found at hardware store.
For this kit, you would have to remove the hose from the barbed fitting so it can slide through the cabinet. Unfortunately, it is hard to pull the hose off so I suggest you cut the hose near the fitting with a razor blade and reassemble it once it is in the cabinet. You will only lose an inch of hose.
