We haven’t featured anyone in a while so I am happy to present some of Terri Fowler’s dremel engraved mirrors she did. She stated these were done freehand which looks quite impressive!
She engraved the backside of the mirror which makes the design stand out much better due to the contrast of the silver lining. We discussed more about this process in another posts as well.
Another cool thing about these engravings is Terri did these from personal artwork that she drew.
The below shows some of her other mirror engravings:
Square Design Engraved on Square Mirror
This design works great for this square mirror which shows a girl in a meditative state with sky above of the sun, moon and rain clouds. I have used inexpensive type square tile mirrors such as this one to practice on. They are rather thin so you can’t carve deep if sandcarving is preferred.
Pin Up Girl Style Engravings
The below two engravings is what I consider a depiction of a pin up style girl. I know pin up girl designs are still a niche for some people, so that might be a market idea to etch.

these are very good engravings; does she have templates for her artwork??? keep up the good work; maybe we can show more of her artwork in the future
Hi ! This was so great, thanks for the positive feedback, I would like to do more of this kind of thing and have several ideas but didn’t know where to find the market for this type of work and even less info regarding pricing.
If by templates you mean the original drawings I made then yes I have the templates + pages on pages of templates I haven’t used yet.
Most of the etchings I have seen use masking and is painted on.
If you want a market for this sort of work, Etsy is your place. These are incredible and I can totally see this being very marketable! I am just blown away at how clean the art is for it being freehand!
Quick question, which is better, etching the front or the back of a mirror?
Hope you can settle an argument between me and my husband.
Thank you
