About: Eric Robert

My Journey: When I first got into glass etching, I was most interested in the sandblasting process and was about to spend over $10,000 on equipment advertised by manufacturers. Just before I was about to make the irrationally quick decision, I decided to research other lower cost solutions and ended up piecing together a great setup for at least 90% less. My goal through our ebook and membership area is to provide this information so you too can save, while still etching like a pro. It is my aim that a small investment in this information will actually save you thousands.

How to Dilute Etching Cream & Prevent Hardening

Water being added to cream.

I recently opened up a small bottle of etching cream and noticed it was getting thick. Some parts were almost hardening to a point of being solid crystals! This is fairly common if you haven’t used it in awhile and sometimes the bottle can even be shipped with crystals. To dilute thick cream or prevent

Glass 2 shades etched with cream.

I recently received a question from one of my subscribers asking: how do you get 2 different textures, light and dark with etching cream? Most people know that this can be done with rotary engraving and I have been doing 2 tone etchings with sandblasting through the use of either 2 stage sandcarving or shade
