Many of us glass sandblast folks typically only need smaller nozzles. However, for large glass blasting projects or general sandblasting work, you may want a larger, high output nozzle.
Due to request, we have released a larger version of our long lasting sandblaster nozzle assembly which is used for pressure pot blasters only. It still has these components:
- Steel Ball Valve– ensures it holds up longer than brass but uses a larger 3/4″ NPT thread ball valve. Our other nozzle system is much smaller the size. It is said that this larger diameter takes even longer to wear out.
- Large Premium C1 Ceramic Tip– other advantages is this large ceramic tip is:
- Made of a premium alumina oxide ceramic material by Kennametal. USA Made quality!
- Takes longer to wear out because the tip is 3.75″ long. More material = more time it lasts.
- Easy to Replace Tip– once your ceramic tip is worn out, simply unscrew the nozzle holder, tap it out of the sleeve, and slide a new one it. We also offer the higher quality C1 replacement tips at a lower cost than other shops here. We can also offer these large tips in tungsten carbide, made by Kennametal. The entire kit measures about 7.75″ long. The large C1 tip measures about 3.75″ long.
How to Connect the Large C1 Sandblaster Kit?
Some of the commercial abrasive blasters use a 3/4″ NPT fitting. If you have a male end of this, you can simply thread it on with some teflon tape. For purposes of doing a quick check, the actual diameter of a 3/4″ NPT is roughly 1″.
If your sandblast hose fitting is larger or smaller, you can find most NPT pipe reducer fittings in the local hardware store. We can possibly offer this with the shipment- please let me know what size hose fitting you have in the comment below or via the contact form.
Can I Connect This to Smaller Sandblasters?
Yes, even if you use a smaller ID hose, some folks still chose to use this larger nozzle assembly because the large ball valve and ceramic tip can last longer. To use it for lighter abrasive output, select a smaller Inner Diameter nozzle tip such as a 3/32″ ID or a 1/8″ ID.
